Soil Fertility Tax Deduction

Your soil tells a financial story — we write it in a language the IRS understands.

Section 180 Deduction Reports

DeepYield’s soil fertility tax deduction reports are the gold standard in agricultural finance. We combine the precision of Ph.D. agronomy, the rigor of engineering analysis, and the oversight of tax attorneys and accountants to produce documentation that’s not just accurate — it’s bankable.

Every report we deliver is audit-defensible, CPA-ready, and built to stand up to scrutiny, quantifying one of the highest-value deductions available to landowners. When you hold a DeepYield report, you hold the proof that your land’s hidden value is real and recognized.

Science-backed. IRS-recognized. Farmer-approved.

Our Two-Layer Methodology

DeepYield's §180 reports combine two independent layers of analysis into a single deduction package the client's CPA can file directly

Layer 1

Certified third-party fertility appraisal. We coordinate with a leading agricultural soil testing laboratory to produce a certified appraisal of the soil's residual fertility as of the acquisition date. PhD agronomist validation is performed on every report.

Layer 2

Proprietary nutrient depletion model. DeepYield's nutrient depletion model is calibrated to the property's documented crop history and use, calculating the deductible value of soil nutrients depleted from a pristine baseline to the property's state at acquisition.  The two layers are reconciled into a single combined deduction figure with a defensible audit trail. Every report is engineered to withstand IRS scrutiny.
